Hazard Chase is delighted to welcome the Spanish-born conductor Sergio Alapont to the roster for general management.

Alapont divides his conducting between symphonic and operatic repertoire. He has guest conducted with orchestra’s including  Orquestra Sinfònica de Barcelona i Nacional de Catalunya, Bilbao Symphony, Copenhagen Philharmonic, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, Orchestra of the Scottish Opera, Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, Orchestra della Toscana , Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della RAI and Royal Scottish National Orchestra.

Recent operatic highlights include The Merry Widow at the Fondazione Arena di Verona, Idomeneo at the Opera du Rhin in Strasbourg, Cavalleria Rusticana at the Illica Festival, Il Barbiere di Siviglia at the Den Norske Opera in Oslo and Il cappello di paglia di Firenze at the Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and Wexford Opera Festival. Future highlights include debuts with Minnesota Opera, Oviedo Filarmonía, Janacek Philharmonic in Ostrava and Teatro Pergolesi di Jesi.
