The Fraschini Theater in Pavia, in co-production with other theaters of the Opera Lombardia circuit, presented at the opening of its season a double program integrated by L’heure espagnole de Ravel and Gianni Schicchi de Puccini, trusting the musical direction in both titles, also presented at the Ponchielli Theater in Cremona and at the Sociale de Como, the Valencian director Sergio Alapont, very active in the Italian seasons. The work of the master Spaniard in command of the orchestra Pomeriggi Musicali of Milan was considered by critics “very bright, obtaining the instrumental effects and mastery of orchestration of both composers and deftly holding the needs of the song” reports Andrea Merli of Ópera Actual.
