Maestro Sergio Alapont will conduct, on September 27th and 29th, L´Heure Espagnole/Gianni Schicchi at the Teatro Grande di Brescia and then again on October 4th and 6th at the Teatro Fraschini di Pavia. This new production by the Teatri di OperaLombardia, which has Carmelo Rifici as stage director, includes two masterpieces of the 20th century’s melodramatic repertoire. The cast selected for the work by Ravel consists of Antoinette Dennefeld in the role of Concepción, Didier Pieri (Gonzalve), Valdis Jansons (Ramiro), Andrea Concetti (Don Inigo Gómez), and Jean-François Novelli (Torquemada). The protagonists of the work by Puccini will be Sergio Vitale in the title role and the female voices of Serena Gamberoni (as Lauretta) and mezzosoprano Agostina Smimmero (as Zita).
Sergio Alapont will soon be conducting Don Giovanni with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra.
