Sergio Alapont has been appointed Music Director of the Italian Festival Orizzonti, from 2015. The festival takes place in Chiusi in the province of Siena and includes classical concerts, ballet, opera and theatre. In previous Festivals, Sergio has conducted Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi, Pierrot Lunaire by Schoenberg and Prokofiev’s  Peter and the Wolf with the Orchestra da Camera del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. At this year’s Festival, which will take place between July 31st and August 9th, Sergio will conduct two opera productions: Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni and Voix Humaine by Poulenc.
